Replacement of the membrane roof over the Mound Stand at Lord’s Cricket ground.

The existing fabric was installed in 1986 and although structurally sound, it is showing its age with significant amounts of visual blemishing caused by pollution. Structural engineers for this project are NRM-Bobrowski and the contractor is Base Structures.

MT66 Arch

Some quick pictures showing a recent project to add an external arch support to the smaller version of the Mobile Stadiums MT66 structure. The span is slightly larger than the tent itself at 45m and the cross-section is 2×1.5m.

By removing a king-pole in this way, an unobstructed 44x48m clear-span space is created within the larger structure.

The Honda Sculpture at Goodwood

The Honda statue sculpture formed the centrepiece of the 2005 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The designer was Gerry Judah, the structural engineers were NRM-Bobrowski and the fabricators were Littlehampton welding.

Education Welfare Offices

This interesting Art Deco building was built in 1937 or 1938 and has had a number of names: “The Education Enquiry Office”, “School Attendance Department”, “Education Welfare Office”, “School meals” then eventually called the “Property Services Building”. It fronted onto West Street, Sheffield.
